Sadly, Tom died at home in February, 2024, having done everything he could to survive leukemia, a stem cell transplant and the ravages of graft versus host disease. He had been cared for through his illness and the pandemic by his beloved husband Melvin So and the bone marrow transplant team at VGH. (Please sign up for stem cell donation!)

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 24th at Mountain View Cemetery’s Celebration Hall, 5445 Fraser Street, Vancouver. Parking is permitted on all the roads in the cemetery.
